How can I know if I am Saved?

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
John 14:6

The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus is not just FOR our salvation but also reveals THE PATH OF SALVATION. Accepting Christ's atonement for our sin. Entering into the death to SIN and SELF, being united with Christ in His death and hidden with Him in His burial, results in the resurrection life of Jesus being seen in us - We Are Born Again! Following in His footsteps means embracing the cross, uniting with Him in His death, being buried with Him and then Rising with Him into Newness of LIfe as a Child of God, and a citizen of Heaven.

Embracing The Cross

Jesus said, "If any man wants to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me."

DYING TO SIN

This means:

-  Leaving behind our old life full of sin and shame, turning from our past ways of unrighteous living and turning to God in full Repentance asking for His cleansing  and forgiveness.

-  Entering into a new Covenant with God because of what Jesus did for us on the Cross.

- Accepting God's Son Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, and to make a decision to live for  and to follow Him.

At the cross, we decide to finally finish wrestling with God and choose to surrender to Him and make our peace with our Creator

Embracing The Tomb

- Means uniting with Christ in His death

- Is a hidden time of Renewal and Growth

- In Our quiet place with the Lord inner transformation takes place.

HIDDEN WITH CHRIST

This is a hidden stage away from the eyes of others.

In this stage, we grow in our intimacy and relationship with Jesus.  As we feast on the word of God the Bible, it comes alive to us. Every word of God becomes our bread and meat.

Inner transformation takes place, God is pruning our lives and we are being renewed in the spirit of our minds.

Baptism in water and Holy Communion are the symbols for these stages of dying to self, becoming alive to God and uniting with Christ.

Sharing in The Resurrection
Like the Butterfly emerging from the chrysalis, we emerge from our union with Christ with NEW LIFE.
We are born again and the old has passed away, the new has come. We are a new creation in Christ.

We now:
- Have peace with God
- Desire to please God
- Desire righteousness
- Are growing in our Love for Jesus and others
- Have the resurrection power of God in us, changing us.
- Are growing spiritually as we read God's word
- Sense the presence of God helping us, guiding each day

"Here is a trustworthy saying:

If we died with him,
we will also live with him;

If we endure,
we shall also reign with him;

If we disown him,
he will disown us;

If we are faithless,
he remains faithful,
for he cannot disown himself."

2 Timothy 2:11-13

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, to those who believe in His name"
